Ya, ya, ya, das ist gut, das ist gut
Another weekend, some more new adventures, a few spectacular scenery shots and a fish hatchery. Yes, Saturday was an action packed, fun filled roller coaster that you just didn't want to get off. And it was all done to the beat of German techno.
We hired a car for the day which saw us travel to Horseshoe Bay (twice), Lynn Valley, the Capilano Damn, the Thrift store and a casino. I'll tell you what, it will be a long time before we see a day like that again. How will anything ever top the fish hatchery? A place where the amount of fish is proportionate to the amount of fun you have! Or not.
The day started off at Horseshoe Bay. Unfortunately we didn't catch the ferry to (Jim) Bowen Island. If we did I'm sure it would have been "super, smashing, great"
Look how close we're standing to each other. You can really tell we're good friends
Our next stop saw us arrive at Lynn Valley Park. But first we had to check the water hazard signs. The main thing we learned, don't give into peer pressure. Ok, I won't... but only because you told me to
Lynn Valley also has a suspension bridge. It's not as big as Capilano but it was less stable and free
Looks like I need a shave. Gav just looks puzzled. What is he seeing on his camera?
A waterfall, you've seen one, you've seen them all
I've no idea either...
(Annika) Rice Lake. To reach this lake you had to arrive by helicopter and wear a yellow jumpsuit
Another picture of me, are you getting bored of them yet?
What's the meaning of this picture? I think if you stare at it long enough, you will find an answer. Probably won't be the right one though
Myyyyyy prrrrecccciiiiooouuuussss
The water here was a beautiful colour/color. See how I'm catering to both my English readers who can spell correctly and my North American readers who can't spell at all
Ian annoyed at Simon because he's not as tall as him. Look at the disgust on his face
At last, the fish hatchery. We stopped here by accident on the way to the damn. Best accident we ever had. It was so much fun. You got to see lots of little fish and some other fish that jumped up a stream. Remarkable
The hatchery is a well known place for romance
I know you're probably expecting me to make some comment about how speatcular the scenery is and then mention, the mountains aren't bad either. But I'm not going to do that this time. You already know it's true
The water slide was failing to pull in any visitors
When I get back to England, I will show you all the local scenery where I live. Somehow, I don't think the ASDA car park will look as good
The TESCO car park however...
There must be a shortage of beautiful models in Vancouver if this is all they could get
The North Vancouver Thrift store. Ian rethinks his plans of learning to drive once he gets back home
Whilst Simon models the latest in second hand waistcoat fashion. Looking good Simon
It seems our car was once owned by Dr Dre. Explains why people kept shooting at us
After the Thrift Store we went back to Horseshoe Bay where Gav consumed his second fish and chips meal of the day. In the evening we went to the River Rock Casino in Richmond where I came out with an $8.20 profit. I could have won more, but the casino manager came over to me with some large men and said that he thinks I've won enough and would I like to leave.
Spoil sport.

you might think you had fun, but a day without me is like a day without excitement! i should have taken the whole crew babysitting! With 2 little ones AND ANDY the help would have been appreciated. haha! just kidding.
Yes, it always takes a lot of people to look after Andy. He's not used to being without his maid and butler from London Town.
